Our Story

We built Precurra to offer a modern alternative to the very old school products currently available to CPA's that have, unfortunately, been the standard but haven't kept up with technology advances.

We want to be the critical tools CPA's reach for when they open their toolbox to find that specific tool required to produce accurate and precise results.

We believe the ability to create and manage complex amortization schedules with uneven cashflows shouldn't force you to use outdated tools.

Meet The Team

Steven J. Malloy

Steven J. Malloy, CITP, CGMA

Co-Founder

Steve is a financial manager and software developer with over 25 years of experience in various industries. Prior to co-founding Precurra, Steve served in both financial and technology roles at Silvaris Corporation, a technology-based building products B2B company that Steve co-founded and help lead from idea to $100+ million in sales in six years. Prior to Silvaris, Steve served in entrepreneurial roles in various successful small businesses. Steve began his career as a CPA at Deloitte where he served a wide array of clients. Throughout his career, Steve has led the development of many solutions built from various technologies, and designed, written and implemented several vertical market accounting software programs. Steve holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University.

Thomas Denny

Thomas Denny

Co-Founder

Tom is a software developer with over 20 years of experience primarily in publicly traded technology companies.  Prior to co-founding Precurra, Tom served as Director of Software Architecture, Director of Software Development, and various other senior development roles at OpenText.  He led a team of software developers and drove development of several new and innovative business software products, instituted leading product development processes, and was actively involved in several high-technology mergers and acquisitions.  Tom holds a B.S. in Business Management, and various industry certifications including MCPD Enterprise Application Developer.

Michael Iem

Michael Iem

Marketing Manager

Michael has over 25 year of experience in product marketing and project management. Prior to joining Precurra, he was the Director of Marketing at a startup called grandPad and spent years in leadership at Microsoft. After working on the launch of Visual Studio.Net and Windows Server 2003, Michael founded a consulting company, The Ziem Group Inc. At the Ziem Group Inc, he helped a startup company in New Zealand, Aptimize, get acquired. He later joined Riverbed Technology as a Senior Product Marketing Manager focusing on application architectures via advanced load balancing and web content optimization. Michael holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
